Today, I’m thankful for prayer. Not just any prayer. I’m thankful for a very specific prayer I learned about recently. It challenges me beyond belief. I’ll share it with you.
Lord, if it be Your will, heal suddenly.
If it will glorify You more, heal gradually.
If it will glorify You yet more, may Your servant remain sick.
And if it will be to Your greatest glory, take him home to be with You.

My goal today is to grow to be able to pray this prayer. My goal is to love and trust God so much I will be willing to pray like this.
Lord, grow me in prayer to want your glory more than I want my own life. I’m all Yours today; do with me as You will, even if Your will is to take me home.
