Today, I’m thankful for my wife. She has put up with so much from me and yet she is still here. Even when I’m frustrated with her–which I’m not today–but even when I am, I’m thankful. I’m thankful because I know she has been so much more than frustrated with me and she is still here. She has forgiven me of so much. Our marriage is actually going really well right now. There was a long time in which I didn’t think I’d ever say that again. But I am. I know it’s a God thing and I’m thankful.
My goal today is to love my wife the way Jesus loves her, the way Jesus loves me. I want to have the mind of Christ in my marriage recognizing that she is more significant than I am.
Gracious Father, when You gave me a wife, You gave me a good thing. I know I have found favor from You. Thank You for blessing me when I don’t deserve it. Forgive me for the many failures and times I mistreated her. Please, continue to bless our marriage and our relationship. I’m all Yours today, Father; do with me as You will, especially in my marriage.
