Today, I’m thankful for books. I’m thankful I can read. Books expose me to so many great ideas, principles, and lessons. I’m reading one right now which is opening my eyes to a completely different perspective. I’m amazed at how often I discover the right book at just the right time. And, of course, I’m so thankful I can read the Bible every day.
My goal is to read today. I’m going to read the Bible (I’m in John right now). And I’m going to read my other books (one for devotion, one for information, and one for entertainment).
Almighty God, I know the reading of books is endless. Thank You for the one book which truly provides all I need. But thank You for giving me life in an age of literacy. Thank You for the learning I’ve had because of books. Thank You for the recovery I’ve experienced because I’ve read about the recovery of others. I’m all Yours today; do with me as You will.
