Today, I’m thankful for my Bible. Every once in a while, I just have to remember what a great gift it is. God communicating with me. The more I study it, the more questions I have. And yet, at the same time, the more it comforts and explains and makes sense. That’s not to say I never have doubts and struggles with it. I do. But it is the wrestling with Scripture that prompts me to grow. I’m thankful.

My goal today is to be in the Word. To read passages I’ve read over and over again before in order to be reminded and also to see what new things there are to learn now that I’ve read more. However, my goal is not simply to read it, but to let it change me.

Almighty God, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for providing it to me and letting me be able to read it. Enlighten my eyes to see, open my ears to hear, widen my heart to understand what You have revealed by Your Holy Spirit. Then strengthen my all to obey. I’m all Yours today; do with me as You will.
