Today, I’m thankful for Gospel Meetings. That is, I’m thankful to get to preach in special series for congregations that ask me to come in for a few days or a week and preach every day. I enjoy this because I get to meet new people. I especially am thankful to get to repeat lessons that I need to hear over and over, but can’t preach at home over and over. Additionally, seeing people in different places honoring the same God the same ways and relying on His Word is great. This is why I missed posting last week. I was away in a meeting.
My goal today is to keep my head above water. I am emotionally drained because of family events going on right now. Dealing with family members at odds is never fun, especially when they are at odds with me. Today, my goal is to be present in every meeting and interaction and just not act out.
Almighty God, thank You for introducing me to new people who love You and serve You. Help me today to glorify You no matter how anyone else behaves. Help me to love my family (and everyone else) the way You love them and me. I am all Yours today; do with me as You will.
