Today, I’m thankful for completed projects. The past few months have been a struggle. I have had one project after another. Class materials, books, special sermons, lecture preparations. One after another, after another. As soon as one is completed, it’s been time to start working on another. It is really wreaking havoc on my schedule and even on getting these posts our every day. However, yesterday, I was able to finish another one. I’m thankful that with so many projects, God has graced me with getting all of them done on time (so far). Tomorrow may be different. The next project may be a bust. But, as of yet, God hasn’t let me fail. And I’m thankful.
My goal today is to stay on task. I have a couple of studies, but in between those I have work to do. Even though I’ve worked hard this week finishing up a project and even got it done a few days early, I don’t want to take a breather. I’ve got another project on the burner that has to be done. I want to get after it.
Glorious God, I do not want to boast as if anything I have is by my own power. Everything I have, I have because I received it from You. Thank You. Every project finished is because you have allowed it. You have given ability, opportunity, and resourced. Thank You. May all I do be to Your glory and not mine. I’m all Yours today; do with me as You will.
