Today, I’m thankful for the sunshine and the rain. I live in mid-Florida. Right now, I pretty much get to see both every day. I am reminded that God sends the sun to the just and the unjust, the rain to the righteous and the unrighteous. Both are a blessing. In their own way, both are beautiful. Here in Florida, the daily showers are often accompanied with beautiful displays of lightening and the amazing peels of thunder. What a display of God’s creative power.
My goal today is to serve the Lord and avoid acting out whether it rains or shines. I can’t change the whether. I might as well thank God for it and serve Him no matter what it is.
Dear God, thank You for sending the sun to shine and the rain to water the earth whether I behave or don’t. Thank You for Your general blessing and grace. Most of all, thank You for Your specific and saving grace in Jesus Christ. Strengthen me today to walk hand in hand with Jesus. I am all Yours today, do with me as You will.
