Today, I’m thankful for breakfast. Well, not just my breakfast, but what breakfast represents for me. I woke up this morning. My knee still hurts, but I can walk. Not everyone can. I was able to breathe without help or difficulty. Not everyone can. I had clean clothes in my closet, not everyone does. There was food in my fridge and pantry for breakfast. Not everyone has that. These things happen every morning, and I usually take them for granted. I understand, God doesn’t bless everyone the same. Some have what I don’t. I have what some others don’t. But today, I know God really isn’t picking on me. He really is blessing me. I think about that as I eat my breakfast.

My goal today is to take nothing for granted. I want to recognize every blessing God has given: family, friends, a day of sobriety, a working car, appliances, salvation, redemption, forgiveness, church, Bible…The list can go on and on. Additionally, I want to use these blessings to serve God and others. He has blessed me so I can be a blessing. I don’t want to horde the blessings; I want to be a channel of blessing.

Gracious Father, use me as a channel of Your blessings. Help me serve others so there will be fairness and equity especially among your people. Thank You for blessing me. I am all Yours today; do with me as You will.

Please, in order to encourage your fellow travelers, share your gratitude, goals, and prayers for today in the comments section below.
