Today, I’m thankful for my shepherds. I get to be involved in an all-day strategy and planning meeting with the elders of my congregation this weekend. I don’t always agree with the plans my shepherds make for the congregation. But I know every choice they make is because they believe it is what is best for the flock and even for me as a sheep. I’m thankful for that.
My goal this weekend is to make my shepherds’ job as easy and joyful as possible.
Holy Shepherd, thank You for the men you’ve placed in my congregation to lead us and guide us. Give them wisdom and insight. Give them consensus. Allow them to do their jobs with joy. I am all Yours this weekend; do with me as You will.
