Today, I’m thankful for sober fun. Friday and Saturday of this weekend, I’m getting to be involved in some gatherings. Having a card game night and then a birthday party. What is great about both of these is there is no sin involved at either one. There’s no drinking, no gambling, no hooking, no anything but good clean fun. I don’t have to sin to have fun. I don’t have to pursue an addiction to have fun. I have friends I can do fun things with. It’s great. I’m looking forward to it.
My goal is to stay present in the times of fun. I want to make sure I don’t turn the fun times into stressful trying to beat every body times. I don’t have to be the best at the game to have a good time. I don’t have to be the center of attention to enjoy myself. I want to be present and just have fun with some good friends.
God, thank You for friends who like to spend time with me and my family. Thank You for good clean outlets of fun. Thank You for providing me ways to enjoy myself without pursuing sin and addiction. I’m all Yours today; do with me as You will.
