This weekend, I’m thankful for my Bible. I’ve been purposefully reading a lot more lately. There is always something new. Something I haven’t noticed. Or sometimes, something I forgot. I am constantly amazed at how often I’ll read something, discover something, go to write it in my note taking Bible only to find I had already recorded it there. That’s why I need to keep reading. I’m thankful God is giving me time to read and has given me something to read.
My goal this weekend is to keep up my reading even though it is the weekend. I often let it slide then. I want to be in God’s Word this weekend just like during the week.
Great God in heaven, thank You for Your Word which makes me wise unto salvation. Thank You for the wisdom You share with me. Give me time. Give me opportunity. Give me conviction. Give me discipline. Give me all this that I may spend time in Your Word, hiding it in my heart.
