Today, I’m thankful for church. I know, I know, that isn’t the completely correct way to say it. I’m thankful for my opportunities to assemble with the church. I look forward all week to getting to worship with my brothers and sisters. I look forward to it because my last experience with it was almost always great. I love the reminder of God’s gospel. I love the reminder of Jesus’s sacrifice for my sins. Singing always pumps me up. Praying with my brothers and sisters always lifts my spirit. It always reminds me that I’m destined for something greater than this world and worship is just a small taste of what is coming. It always pumps me up and makes me want to do better this week than last. It reminds me God is working on me, in me, and through me. I can’t wait to see what He’ll do with me this week.
My goal today is to worship personally. I want to spend some time in prayer and even in song by myself. I want to spend time in God’s Word. Worship lifts me and pushes me to be more like God and remember His presence.
Great God, You are awesome. Your church is awesome. Thank You for establishing Your church and local churches. Thank You for my home congregation. Bless us, Lord, with unity, peace, harmony, and victory. May we bring You glory at all times. May I bring You glory at all times. I’m all Yours today; do with me as You will.
