Today, I’m thankful for birthdays and parties with brothers and sisters. Last night we hosted a monthly birthday party for any from our congregation who had a birthday or anniversary in January. Had a great time. It is great to spend time with brethren. We ate. We talked. We caught up. We learned new things about each other. Got some book recommendations. It was a great time. I can’t wait until next month.
My goal today is to connect. I don’t have to wait until a birthday party to get closer to folks. I want to be present in every relationship I get to pursue today.
Almighty Father, thank You for my friends and brethren. Thank You for people I get to celebrate with. Thank You for people who will celebrate with me. Please, bless my brothers and sisters with this new year of life that we all may bring greater glory to You this year. I am all Yours today; do with me as You will.
