Today, I’m thankful for music. All kinds of music. Even as I type this out, I am listening to worship music. However, I’m not just talking about singing as worship. I’m thankful for music as entertainment. I’m thankful for music that calms me when I’m frustrated. I’m thankful for music that excites me when I’m down. I’m thankful for music that motivates me when I’m exercising. I think music, all kinds of music, is a great demonstration of God’s love. He didn’t have to make anything in this world beautiful and enjoyable. Yet, music stands out as a wonderful gift.
My goal today is to kick this week off with a great start. No acting out today even if my butt falls off. If I am tempted, my goal is to reach out to my friends and traveling companions.
Dear God, thank You for the beauty all around me. Thank You for making music part of Your world. May I enjoy music and use music in a way that glorifies You whether as worship, as entertainment, as motivation. I am all Yours today; do with me as You will.
