Today, I’m thankful for my Bible. Due to some other study and writing I did for today, I was reminded God has given us all we need to know in the Bible. Sometimes, it seems hard to understand. Sometimes, it seems like a chore to keep up with. However, the Bible contains all I need to know God, to know Jesus, to know the Holy Spirit, to know His will, to follow His way. God could have left us scrambling in the dark, scratching out meager attempts to figure out His way. How lost I would have been then. But, He didn’t. He gave me the Bible.

My goal today is to be in the Bible. I want to read it even though I’ve read it before. Then I want to live it no matter how challenging it is.

Glorious God, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for my ability to read. As I read, give me insight and understanding. Enlighten the eyes of my heart to know Your will and way and glory. I am all Yours today; do with me as You will.
